HEADS UP APARTMENT SHOPPERS - MORE TENANTS WHO SAY HARPERS FOREST APARTMENTS IS THE WORST PLACE EVER! DO NOT RENT FROM HARPERS FOREST APARTMENTS! RUMOR HAS IT THEY MIGHT BE BANKRUPT BEFORE YOU FINISH SIGNING YOUR NAME ANYWAY! WE PROBABLY CAN'T CONFIRM THAT TIL THEY FILE COURT PAPERS, BUT THE MUTTERING AT PARENT COMPANY, MARYLAND MANAGEMENT, IS THAT BANKRUPTCY OR A SALE IS UNDER CONSIDERATION.

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009 i lived there for 1 year. i never fully unpacked my stuff cause from the first day i moved in i was ready to leave! i was pregnant when i moved in and it was bad. you call maintenance and they take 4 ever to come!! the leasing office is horrible! they will lie to you in your face and wont fix a problem till you threaten to take them to court.

I was not sure I would have found something so quick. I did and quickly moved. So I sent a letter to Maryland Management with a copy of all of the police reports and asked them to waive the new lease termination fee. They said no, then I called a lawyer who said that if they decided to act on trying to charge me for the new lease then I had a good case. I never heard from Maryland Management again.

I would love to go to court with these people and present copies of 8 police reports to the judge of crimes committed in front of my building, in my building and by people in my building. There are lawyers that specialize in tenants rights and I would be willing to go to court with anyone else who is willing to testify against Maryland Management. For the amount of money they charge, they could have hired some type of security guard just to drive around and check on things. Let me know if you want to go after these people.

1. THE VENTILATION SYSTEM IS HORRIBLE.
2. IT TAKES FOREVER TO GET MAINTENANCE PROBLEMS ADDRESSED.
3. I FEEL VERY UNSAFE HERE.
4. WE SPENT 3 MONTHS IN SUMMER WITH NO AIR CONDITIONING MGMT. REFUSED TO FIX!
5. MGMT IS VERY POOR.
6. RODENTS AND BUGS ALL OVER THE PLACE.
7. SEWAGE LEAKING FROM UPSTAIRS BATHROOM.
8. MGMT LOSES IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS THEN BLAMES THE TENANT.
9. I'VE BEEN CALLED RACIST NAMES.
10. CRACK HEAD TRIED BREAKING INTO MY APARTMENT.
11. WE HAVE TO KEEP CALLING THE POLICE BECAUSE OF NEIGHBORS FIGHTING.
12. MGMT REPAIRED LEAKS WITH DUCT TAPE.
13. KIDS SMOKE WEED ON MY FRONT STEP.
14. EMERGENCY MAINTENANCE CALLS NOT ANSWERED FOR 3-4 DAYS.
15. THEY BILL TENANTS FOR THE LANDLORDS UNNECESSARY, AND ON A WHIM, REDECORATING, WITH NEW MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBLE FURNISHINGS LIKE CHANGING THE COLOR OF THEIR LIKE MINI-BLINDS.
16. THERE IS TERRIBLE NEW MGMT HERE.
17. MANAGEMENT HAS A NO-KNOCK POLICY. NEITHER THEY, OR THEIR SUB-CONTRACTORS, KNOCK BEFORE ENTERING YOUR RESIDENCE. THEY JUST USE THEIR PASS KEY AND BARGE RIGHT IN. THEY DON'T CALL YOUR NAME OR ANYTHING. THEY ACT LIKE THEY'RE THE POLICE OR SOMETHING! HOW CREEPY A LANDLORD!
